ATV crash kills woman in Adair County

Columbia, Ky. (WTVQ) – An ATV crash in Adair County over the weekend has left one person dead.

Kentucky State Police say 19-year-old Summer Piercy, of Cave City, was a passenger on the ATV when it crashed into a ditch and flipped at Saturday at the Pumpjack off-road.

State Police say she was pronounced dead at the scene by the Adair County Coroner.

Police did not say if the driver, 23-year-old Nicholas Sturgeon, of Munfordville, was injured.

They say both Piercy and Sturgeon was not wearing restraints.

The investigation is ongoing.
