Lexington firefighters designed new truck unveiled Friday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington’s new fire truck that was unveiled Friday was designed by experts, a committee of Lexington firefighters.

Rescue One features multiple specialties such as confined space rescues, trench collapses, high-angle rescues and animal rescues.

The design of the new piece of equipment took more than two years.

The truck cost the city just over $800,000.

Rescue One replaces a rescue truck that had been in service since 2009.
