Police Investigate String Of Robberies

Lexington Police said they think the same suspects are behind a string of three robberies early Wednesday morning.

The first happened just after midnight near the intersection of Daniel Court and Village Drive.

Police said the victim was riding a moped with his nephew when a man got out of a blue or gray Buick, pointed a gun at the boy and demanded their vehicle.

Police said when the victim refused, the suspect pistol-whipped him in the head and took off empty handed.

Then around 1:30 a.m., a pizza delivery driver told police he was robbed on Fontaine Road.

The victim said two men got out of a blue or gray Buick, pointed guns at him and then took his cash and cell phone.

Just minutes later, a man called police from a nearby gas station.

He said he was walking on Spangler Drive, near Forehand Court, when he was approached by two men who had been riding in a Buick.

The victim told police that he tried to run from the suspects when one of the men pointed a gun at him and demanded money.

Unfortunately, the victim fell down so the robbers were able to catch up.

Police said the suspects got away with another cell phone and some cash.

Police said they don’t have a good description of the suspects at this point.

No one was injured.
