Lexington Humane assists Henderson Co. with hoarding case
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Humane Society (LHS) says they are assisting animals in need, yet again.
They say they are are receiving a transport of animals from Henderson County Friday afternoon.
Henderson County recently had a hoarding case of over 400 animals and livestock, according to the Humane Society.
They say they’re helping the Henderson County animal shelter make room for the animals they are taking care of from the hoarding case in their community.
The animals coming to Lexington were animals available for adoption in Henderson County.
LHS says they will be receiving 8 dogs whose conditions are unknown.
They say the animals will be evaluated individually and will receive medical treatments if necessary, food, shelter and lots of TLC.
In order to care for as many animals as possible and to make room for all of the animals, from our Lexington and surrounding communities, LHS is participating in a national Adopt-A-Thon at the Everyday Adoption Center at PetSmart in Hamburg Pavilion.
