KSP investigating shooting death in Graves County

MAYFIELD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are investigating an overnight death in Graves County.

State police say the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield notified them about about a man who arrived there suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say 46-year-old Timothy D. Roper of Mayfield was pronounced dead at the emergency room by the Graves County Coroner.

Kentucky State Police say they have opened a death investigation.

An autopsy will be conducted Tuesday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville.
