Woman dead, 4 injured in violent collision
BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman was killed and four people were taken to the hospital following a violent collision on Walnut Meadow Road in Berea Friday night, according to the Madison County coroner.
The coroner says the woman, whose name hasn’t been released, was a passenger in a car that collided with a pickup truck.
The coroner explains the force of the impact was so great, the car was cut in half.
The woman who was killed was one of four people in the car, according to the coroner. He says another person in the car suffered life-threatening injuries.
According to the coroner, the driver of the pickup was the only person in that vehicle.
Investigators say alcohol is suspected as a factor in the deadly crash.
