Power outage delays AM flights at Blue Grass Airport

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A few early morning flights were delayed Wednesday at Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport when a test of new wiring for the runway lights failed, according to airport officials.

It happened around 5:30 a.m., delaying 3-to-4 flights.

The outage lasted 90-minutes.

All the delayed flights left by 7:30 a.m., according to the airport.

A similar incident happened six months ago when construction work led to a temporary outage.
