Shots fired during home break-in

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A break-in leads to shots fired in a Lexington home overnight.

Investigators say two men and a woman were in the home on High Ridge Drive at around 1:00 a.m. Friday when they heard a loud crashing sound.

They tell police a man came inside and fired a handgun.

They called police.and he took off running.

No one was injured.

Police set up a perimeter to search for the suspect but couldn’t find him.

Police tell ABC 36 News they don’t believe the burglary was random.  They called it a drug-related home invasion.
