Adair County man charged with Assault

COLUMBIA, Ky. (WTVQ) – 43-year-old Donald Wayne Christenberry was arrested Thursday on charges of 1st and 4th degree Assault, according to Kentucky State Police.

KSP says the charges stemmed from an investigation into a stabbing that occurred on KY Hwy 206 when they say Christenberry allegedly stabbed 57-year-old Brent Ollery.

According to KSP, Ollery was taken to a local hospital to be treated for a knife wound to the neck area and was then transferred by ambulance to the University of Louisville Hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries.

KSP says Christenberry returned home and was involved in a second altercation with 48-year-old Brenda Lucas which they say led to the 4th degree Assault charge.

Christenberry was lodged in the Adair County Jail, according to KSP.

KSP says they are continuing to investigate the case.
