LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The UK women’s hoops team has gotten off to a good start according to head man Matthew Mitchell.

It was a tough summer of growth as the team learned to embrace hard work.

An “interesting journey” is ahead Mitchell says.

Solid Blue fans get to see it all start Friday at Big Blue Madness.

Replacing Makayla Epps and Evelyn Akhator remains the big question moving forward; but really from more an off-court, personal perspective than a coaching one for Mitchell.
