Lane closures on Capital Avenue Bridge in Franklin County

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office advises motorists of lane closures on US 60 at the Capital Avenue Bridge over the Kentucky River in Franklin County. KYTC maintenance crews will be pressure washing the sidewalks and interior side of the railing on this structure located in downtown Frankfort.

Work is scheduled to begin on Thursday, Oct. 5 with lane closures on US 60 between East Second Street and East Main Street (mile markers 8.4 to 8.5). Lane closures will be in place on weekdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Weather permitting, this cleaning should be completed on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Motorists should slow down approaching this work area and watch for highway workers in the adjacent lanes.
