Northern Kentucky bar burning NFL jerseys
WILDER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some people in Northern Kentucky say they’re “fed up” with the NFL and in response they burned jerseys this afternoon at a wilder sports bar.
Word spread on Facebook, the protest is in response to a very public disagreement between the league and President Donald Trump. Several NFL teams and players have taken knees during the national anthem.
It started last year when Colin Kaepernick kneeled to protest racial inequality. President Trump has tweeted frequently, saying those that kneel should be fired.
According to Facebook, fans at the wilder bar say they’re patriotic and don’t want to see the NFL disrespect the flag.
