Woman escapes house fire in Irvine

IRVINE, Ky. (WTVQ) – An elderly Estill County woman escaped a house fire overnight Monday, according to the Irvine Fire Department.

Investigators say the fire started around 4:00 a.m.

They say the woman was able to safely get out before the fire department arrived.

Investigators say the fire was contained to the living room, with minimal water damage.

The cause is under investigation.
