Red, White and Boom music festival still on despite rain

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Red, White, and Boom music festival in Lexington will go on as scheduled despite the rain, according to event organizers. 

The three-day Labor Day weekend event begins at 5:00 p.m. today, September 1, at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. 

Organizers say there could be delays and acts may be cut short in case of lightning.

Artists scheduled to appear include Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Dustin Lynch, Maren Morris, Chris Janson and more.

The annual festival is put on by 98.1 “The Bull” radio station.
