6-year-old Kentucky boy drowns in swimming pool

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) – A coroner says a 6-year-old Kentucky boy has drowned in a neighborhood swimming pool.

Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn says in a news release that Michael A. Stewart was pronounced dead Saturday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center’s pediatric emergency department.

Ginn says the drowning in Lexington appears to be an accident.
