State Democratic Party Chair Representative Stepping Down

PARIS, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Democratic Party Chair Representative Sannie Overly says she’s stepping down as Chairwoman.

Overly says she isn’t sure what her plans are, but she wants to stay in public service.

The Paris lawmaker has been a state representative since 2008.

She has been mentioned as a possible congressional or gubernatorial candidate.

The Democratic Party says she will stay in her role as Chariwoman until a committee picks her replacement.
