Boyle County children left home alone while Mother was in jail

DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- In Danville a mother faces drug charges and her two young teens are now with social services.

Danville Police say they pulled 41-year old Karen Henry over last Sunday and found meth and marijuana in the car. Investigators say she did not tell them at the time her 13-and-14 year-old children were home alone.

This past Tuesday, police were called to Henry’s house. They say her children were there, but the person who was supposed to be watching them was not.

Police say Shannon Charles was there, and they say she had meth and drug paraphernalia on her. She she was arrested and the children placed in the care of the state.
