Thunderstorm Winds Bring Down Trees In Saturated Ground

There was an increasingly familiar site on Linden Walk in Lexington on Tuesday afternoon, a fallen tree blocking a road.

Following one of the wettest June’s on record, coupled with daily thunderstorms with high winds and heavy rain, a growing number of trees are being uprooted by the wind along with the saturated ground.

No one was injured by the Linden Walk downed tree.
