Laurel County drug bust lands 17 people in jail
LAUREL COUNTY, KY. (WTVQ)- Seventeen people were arrested in a targeted drug sting in Laurel County.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is calling Friday night’s bust, Operation Rolling Thunder.
They say after receiving numerous complaints about suspected drug activity, they made multiple arrests in three separate areas.
Five people were arrested at the East 80 Grocery area.
The charges range from having meth to warrants to appear in court for traffic violations.
Four more arrests were made in the Kentucky 770 West Cumberland Gap Parkway vicinity as part of Operation Rolling Thunder.
One arrest there included a man wanted for felony parole violation.
And finally eight more arrests were made near the Economy Inn in London.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says any drug activity tips are always welcomed.
