Lexington removing two traffic lights
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington’s Division of Traffic Engineering says it will be removing the traffic light at North Upper and West Fifth as well as the light at North Upper and West Sixth.
The Division says, if weather permits, staff members will decommission the lights around 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 2nd.
Stop signs will be installed at the intersections to replace the signals. For 90 days the existing lights will flash red as drivers get used to the change.
