Woman accused of not reporting alleged child abuse

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman is accused of not reporting alleged child abuse, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested 23-year old Amber Ayers, of Keavy, Friday afternoon in London, according to investigators.

The reported victim told detectives that Ayers knew about the alleged abuse and didn’t do anything about it, and that the abuse continued, according to investigators.

Ayers was charged with Criminal Abuse 1st Degree-Child 12 or under, according to deputies.

She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
