Attic fire closed portion of Sixth Street in Lexington Wednesday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A fire in the attic of a house in the 400 block of West Sixth Street in Lexington Wednesday afternoon led to the temporary closure of that portion of the street, according to the Lexington Fire Department.

The fire was called in around 3:15 p.m., according to firefighters.

Investigators say the fire was contained to the attic.

No one was hurt.

The cause is under investigation.
