Work to begin tonight around Man O’ War Blvd. & Alumni Drive

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- If you are going to be traveling near the area of Man O’ War Boulevard and Alumni Drive tonight, be prepared for some traffic impacts.

Work begins tonight to lengthen the turn lanes from Man O’ War Boulevard onto Alumni Drive.

Phase one of the project will involve lengthening the right turn lane by about 300 feet.

Most work on this section will be during the day with limited night work.

Because of work during the day, a portion of the existing turn lane will be closed.

Phase two of the project will involve lengthening the left turn lane.

Work on the left lane is expected to take place at night to lessen the traffic congestion.

For safety reasons, the left lanes of Man O’ War in both directions between Pimlico Drive and Alumni Drive will be closed during work times.

The project could take up to 90 days to complete.
