Teen drowns in Whitley County

Whitley County, Ky. (WTVQ) – A teen drowned while at a lake in Whitley County Monday.

The Lexington Herald-Leader said the victim was a 16-year-old boy.

Search crews were called to Laurel Lake at 4:30 p.m. to try and locate the teen.

They recovered his body from a spillway three hours later.

His name has not been released
