Death investigation after woman’s body found in Laurel County

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman’s body was found along an embankment in Laurel County on Monday, according to deputies.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says the body of 28-year-old Tearsha Laws of Oak Ridge, Tennessee was found off Eleana Lane and Filter Plant Road about six miles north of London.

Officials say they got the call just before 5 p.m. about a body found in a wooded area over an embankment.

The body is being sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.
