Police investigate Speedway robbery on E. New Circle

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Speedway on East New Circle.

Police say a man walked into the store just before 1 a.m. and acted like he was going to buy a drink.

Instead, they say he pulled out a gun and demanded money.
The suspect left with some cash.

Police say a K-9 unit was able to track the suspect’s scent to a home on Meadow Lane but he wasn’t there.

No injuries were reported.
