Orlando victims on minds of Lexington Pride marchers nearly a year after attack

LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ)- The 49 victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting were on the minds of many Sunday during anniversary ceremonies across the country.

The anniversary does coincide with Pride Month.

Organizers, elected officials, and high school students incorporated it into their pride rally and march Sunday in downtown Lexington.

Abc 36’s Lauren Shepard spoke to marchers who say even though it is easy to find support in Lexington, they are continuing to fight for fairness and equality.
