Winchester Group Makes Quilts for Kids
A group of women in Winchester are spending their third Saturday of every month making quilts for kids in Kentucky and out West.
The local chapter of the national organization Quilt for Kids meets at the UK Extension Office in Clark County.
About 15 ladies come together to make the blankets for kids at places like UK Children’s Hospital, NEST and the Bluegrass Domestic Violence Center.
Recently the group made more than a dozen blankets for kids that lost their homes in the Oklahoma tornado last month.
