LPD: Police investigate drive-by shooting on Eddie Street

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police said two people were injured in a drive-by shooting Friday.

According to police, an adult man and a juvenile were sitting on a porch in front of a home at around 12 a.m. in the 100 block of Eddie Street when the shooting happened.

Investigators said the victims told them they noticed a white SUV with tinted windows and a loud muffler driving down the street.

As the SUV came near the home, someone inside opened fire and the vehicle took off.

The man was hit in the leg and the teen was shot in the foot.

Both were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said several rounds hit the home.

Two homes on each side of it were also hit by bullets.

No one else was injured, according to police.

Police said both victims are being cooperative and tell them they have no idea why they were targeted.

Police are still looking for the suspects.
