Child dies after falling into manure pit

PEMBROKE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A child died after falling into a manure pit, according to the Christian County deputy coroner.

It happened Saturday afternoon, according to investigators.

A deputy coroner says 3-year old Amos King was playing near the manure pit when he fell in and suffocated.

Investigators say King was Amish and that the manure pit is used for composting.
