Teaming Up To Feed Students During Summer
A Mount Sterling church is teaming up with local businesses to make sure no child in their community goes hungry this summer.
The Heritage Christian Church worked with Big Brothers-Big Sisters and the school district throughout the school year to fill backpacks with food for 75 students to take home on weekends.
They then decided they would do it for the summer as well.
They filled 93 boxes for students to take home so they will have food to eat over the summer.
The church said it plans to keep doing this program next school year and next summer.
