Wife Of Fallen Officer Speaks

The widow of an ambushed Bardstown Police officer said her late husband "will always be her hero." In her first public statements Tuesday morning, Amy Ellis said "the pain will never go away" after her husband, 33-year-old Jason Ellis, was ambushed and killed Saturday on his way home from work. Kentucky State Police said Ellis was shot multiple times after he got out of his cruiser to pick up debris on Bluegrass Parkway in Nelson County. Police investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding suspects. Police are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to a an arrest and conviction in the case.
