All lanes of I-64 in Clark County reopen after semi crash
WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – It took all day, but finally all lanes of eastbound I-64 in Clark County reopened Tuesday evening following a semi crash in the early morning hours.
The semi crashed and flipped on its side around 5:30 a.m. near mile marker 98, not far from the Mountain Parkway Exit, according to investigators.
Initially, all eastbound lanes were closed until around 7:00 a.m., when the left lane reopened. The right lane remained closed until around 7:45 p.m., according to officials.
It took crews about 12-hours to off-load the engine valves the trailer was carrying and to get the semi upright in order for it to be towed away.
