Mt. Sterling man arrested after police chase
Officers were eventually able to stop the car, but Elliot got out and ran from officers before taking him into custody

STANTON, Ky. (WTVQ) A Mount Sterling man led multiple police departments on a chase Sunday afternoon, that ended in his arrest
According to the Stanton Police Department, the chase started in Winchester.
Around 2:54 p.m. Sunday officers in Stanton were made aware of the chase heading their way.
Stanton police say, as an officer with the department was on his way to the chase, the suspect, 30-year-old Aaron Elliot hit the officer in his cruiser with his pickup truck, after Elliot crossed the median at high speeds.
Police say Elliot started to slow down and merge into the same lane as the officer, causing them to crash into each other.
Officers were eventually able to stop the car, but Elliot got out and ran from officers before they took him into custody.
Elliot now faces multiple charges including assault, driving under the influence and running from police.
Elliot is being held in the Powell County detention center.
