Man facing murder charges in Mt. Sterling

MOUNT. STERLING, Ky (WTVQ)- In Montgomery County, a man faces murder charges in Mt. Sterling.

Mt. Sterling police say 53-year-old James Taul is charged with first degree murder.

Officers say they responded to a call of shots fired Saturday morning on East Locust Street where they found someone who had been shot several times.

According to the department, that person later died in the hospital.

Police aren’t identifying the victim until they’ve notified family.
