GMA alum’s book chosen by Jennifer Lawrence Foundation

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Jennifer Lawrence Foundation, a component fund of The Community Foundation of Louisville, Inc., has selected a book from a former Good Morning America crew member in a prestigious swag bag handed out at the “Awards in the Arts Event” that happened last weekend at Churchill Downs.

Author Donna Dimiaio Rooney’s children’s book “Dani and the Day the Bully Changed Everything” aims to empower kids to end bullying.

“It really is a book to empower kids. To say be who you are. Don’t let anyone define who you are. And if you have little quirks and all that’s fine, because that’s who you are, and that’s wonderful and it should be celebrated,” says Rooney. “So many times in society kids are trying to be all the same, and there’s even a character in the book who has a disability. and yet we find out that’s not who she is.”

“Dani and the Day the Bully Changed Everything” is available now at Barnes & Noble and on Amazon.
