Kids Matter Spring Institute – Lexington Public Library

The Childcare Council of Kentucky has partnered with the Lexington Public Library to host children’s author John Archambault as part of the annual “Kids Matter Spring Institute,” a continuing education opportunity for childcare providers.  Mr. Archambault will be the keynote speaker at a training on Saturday, April 29th- an event exclusively for childcare workers that does require advance registration.

The Library is excited to host an event with Mr. Archambault on the evening of Friday, April 28th 6:30 PM that is free and open to the public, at the Eastside Branch 3000 Blake James Drive- the corner of Man O War and Palumbo.  No advance registration is required, but we do encourage folks to arrive early and to carpool as we are expecting a full house of childcare workers, teachers, parents, and hopefully a lot of preschool and kindergarten children. Several business around the branch have offered us some parking. Following an interactive presentation from our featured author, there will be an opportunity for book purchasing and signing, as well as numerous early literacy activities, games and crafts for children.
