Alpha Males Make Difference
You know, the top dog in a pack or herd.
Mufasa from the Lion King.
That’s what Kentucky didn’t have last season and it showed. Ryan Harrow couldn’t hack it in Lexington…breaking down after the SEC Tournament in the locker room.
Alex Poythress wasn’t ready to step up and lead.
Willie Cauley-Stein admitted he tried to fill the void left by Nerlens Noel, but he just wasn’t ready.
Next year’s team should be different though. A group with possibly two alpha males according to Cal…which will definitely help the Cats on the court.
Because when one guy goes down, the other can step right in and keep things on track for a ninth national title.
And keep the pressure off Cal’s shoulders to take on the top dog role.
Why that’s a key to UK’s success in the video.
