KSP: Deadly hit-and-run in Rockcastle County

MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police are looking for a driver they say hit and killed a woman and drove off in Rockcastle County.

Investigators say it happened at the intersection of US 25 and McCollum Road.

The victim’s name wasn’t released pending identification and notification of family.

Investigators say because of an accident nearby on I-75, traffic was heavier than normal along US 25 which is often used as an alternate route since it runs parallel with the interstate.

State Police are asking anyone who may have seen something to call KSP at 1-800-222-5555.
