80-year-old woman dies in Kentucky house fire

KUTTAWA, Ky. (AP) – Police are investigating a house fire that left an 80-year-old woman dead.

Kentucky State Police say in a statement that they received a fire alarm and call from a neighbor regarding a residence fire shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday. The Kuttawa and Eddyville Fire Departments responded to the house.

The body of Patricia S. Hoss was found inside the house after the fire was extinguished. Investigators believe Hoss died as a result of the fire. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. No foul play is suspected.
