2 killed when car veers into Kentucky creek

COVINGTON, Ky. (AP) – Police in northern Kentucky say slick road conditions following heavy rains may have led to a crash that killed a teenager and his grandmother.

Media outlets report a car driven by 61-year-old Naomi Miller lost control and went into a creek in Covington. Covington police say the car was on its top when rescue teams arrived.

Authorities say Miller and 16-year-old Jordan Miller, both of Independence, died in Thursday’s crash. Another 16-year-old male suffered minor injuries.

Miller was a student at Scott High School. Counselors were made available to Scott students on Friday.
