Teen rescued in Powell County after 35-50 foot fall

POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A teen is safe tonight in Powell County after an emergency rescue.

According to Powell County Search and Rescue, an 18-year-old woman fell 35-50 feet while hiking.

Search and rescue workers say she possibly broke her ribs and right ankle, but around 6:45 p.m. Saturday they brought her to EMS in good, but tired spirits.
