Millions of meals later, Catholic Action Center moving locations

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- After 17 years and more than 5.5 million meals served, Lexington’s Catholic Action Center and Community Inn are packing up.

A emotional final lunch was served at the 5th Street location Thursday with many showing up.

Organizers say the new location on Industry Road will allow for better service to those living in Lexington without shelter, including being open 24 hours per day. They also say the new site will feature a brand new kitchen, laundry facilities, more bathrooms, lockers, and cell phone charging stations. It’ll also be wheelchair accessible.
