Madison County Sheriff Dead Of Apparent Heart Attack
Madison County Sheriff Jerry Combs died Monday night after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home.
The coroner said Combs was taken to Saint Joseph Berea, where he was pronounced dead at 9:31 p.m.
Combs was with the Berea Police Department for 31 years.
He was assistant chief when he retired.
He then ran for and was elected sheriff of Madison county.
Combs was 61-years-old.
The coroner said Davis & Powell Funeral Home in Berea is handling funeral arrangements.
