Man Arrested For Indecent Exposure At UK
Frankfort Police arrested a man after an indecent exposure investigation conducted by University of Kentucky Police.
34-year-old Vijay Kumar Matta has been charged with one count of indecent exposure, but officers say he is on probation for a similar crime in Monroe, Ohio.
UK issued public safety notices April 5th, 7th, and 9th after getting several reports of indecent exposure involving a man matching Matta’s description.
The notices said in most incidents people had reported that the man was driving a gray Honda Accord, asking female students for directions, then exposing himself when they approached the car.
UK police pulled over a gray Honda Accord for not using turn signals last Wednesday and say they found that the driver was Vijay Matta, a man who matched the description the witnesses had given.
They say they questioned Matta and put his picture into a photo lineup which allowed a victim to positively identify him.
They issued a warrant May 7th and Frankfort Police arrested him May 8th.
