Clerk sees robber coming
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A clerk told police he knew he was about to get robbed even before the suspect came through the door of a Lexington convenience store.
The robbery happened at the Marathon Station on North Broadway just before 3 a.m.
The clerk says he saw the man running around the corner of the store and came inside wearing a gray mask.
He says the suspect said, “Let’s go” and pulled a gun.
He left after the clerk gave him cash.
Police with K9 units tried to track the suspect, who was last seen running toward the Red Roof Inn, but they could not locate him.
