Two people arrested in Madison County for trafficking Methamphetamine
MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- According to the Madison County Sheriff, two people were arrested March 2nd for trafficking Methamphetamine.
The Sheriff’s Office says deputies pulled a vehicle over on Merchant Drive in Richmond for a traffic infraction. Deputies say during the stop, they searched the vehicle and the people inside.
Deputies found about 56 grams of Methamphetamine, scales, a firearm, and $2,500, according to the Sheriff.
Deputies cited the driver, Peter Closs, for not wearing a seatbelt and not owning insurance.
Tony Pearson, 51, and Rebecca Smith, 33, both from Richmond, were arrested and charged with trafficking Methamphetamine.
