Fatal crash kills a teen in Spencer County

SPENCER COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A teenager is dead following a car crash over the weekend.

The Kentucky State Police report a 16 year old male from Mount Eden was involved in a single-vehicle crash Saturday.

Authorities say the crash happened on Lakeside Drive in Spencer County, when the car he was driving went off the left shoulder of the road and hit a mail box then a concrete driveway.

The driver was ejected when the car overturned.

Officials say he was taken to the University of Louisville and pronounced dead by the Jefferson County Coronor.

The investigation is still ongoing.
