Storm clean-up teams out Friday in Estill County
IRVINE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Clean-up teams will be out Friday in Estill County helping this week’s storm victims remove debris.
Officials are asking people who have already started cleaning up to move debris to the curb for pickup on Friday, March 3, 2017.
Anyone out in the county who needs help with debris removal is asked to call 606-723-6533 or message Estill County Emergency Management on Facebook and a crew will be sent, according to officials.
Clean-up crew volunteers are asked to meet at the Ravenna National Guard Armory between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, to be assigned to a crew.
People in Estill County who suffered storm damage on their property are asked to call Emergency Management at 606-723-6533 as the agency documents all of the storm damage.
Donations for storm victims can be dropped off at Christian Worship Center at 105 Broadway Street in Irvine.
Donation needs include:
-Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, deodorant)
-Cleaning supplies (gloves, Clorox, mops, brooms, rakes)
-Bottled Water
-Snack Foods (peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers, pop tarts)
-Plastic totes for residents that have lost their homes to pack their belongings.
Please DO NOT bring clothing. Helping Hands Ministry has plenty of clothes if they are needed at this time, according to officials.
