30 people injured during Mardi Gras celebration

NEW ORLEANS, La. (WTVQ)-Almost 30 people are recovering after a pickup truck plowed into a parade crowd in New Orleans Saturday night.

Police say the truck hit two other cars before careening into people out celebrating Mardi Gras.

Investigators say the driver seemed heavily intoxicated and is now behind bars.

The city’s police chief says there are no indications this was an act of terrorism.
